THQ has released Marvel Super Hero Squad 2: The Infinity Gauntlet which features a 150 minute original score by Mick Gordon. Part rock-infused cartoonish, part retro-tribute, Mick’s fully adaptive score travels across many different genres.

Inspired by Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures highly anticipated summer blockbuster live-action theatrical film, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, The Last Airbender video game will deliver all-new unique features that bring to life the film’s thrilling action and immerse players in the world of bending.

Mick was interviewed recently by Dren McDonald for the Game Audio Network Guild website.

“I’ve heard you describe yourself using the term “Music designer” in game audio, could you elaborate on that concept?

Yeah for sure, so, someone asked me what my “thing” was once and the “thing” that I feel I’m pretty good at is musical design. It’s basically a way to describe the process of turning non-musical sounds into musical ones, or using musical sounds in new ways.
